India Ideas Conclave is an annual conclave organized by the India Foundation to bring together a luminary gathering of policy makers and public intellectuals from India and abroad. Over 400 invited intellectuals, including government and corporate leaders, scholars, journalists, politicians and social activists participate in this important conclave where ideas and opinions are exchanged in a candid and scholarly atmosphere. The previous editions of the conclave saw the participation of scholars from over 30 countries including several Heads of State and other dignitaries. Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, Speaker, Peoples’ Majlis, Maldives, Mr. Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan, Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister of External Affairs of India and Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, Former President of Sri Lanka have been some of the prominent speakers at the India Ideas Conclave.
